The Wines

2010 ()

fair red colour; the bouquet has a dusty top air, with stewed red berry under - it leans towards jam, plus wee floral airs. The palate is spiced, bears red fruit woven into fresh, purposeful tannins. It lacks a bit of flesh towards the end, is a granite child in style, true to that. There are some hidden corners in this, and it finishes freshly. From mid-2013. To 2018. May 2012

2007

pretty full robe; has a pine-red fruits aroma with a smoky top air – it isn't yet in the zone. The palate possesses a wild sort of red fruit, bustles on with lithe tannins in it. It ends on rather rustic dry notes. It will be a shade softer and more together from mid-2009. To 2013. Dec 2008

2006

quite bright, dark plum colour; smoky, white pepper and pine top air to the nose – raspberry red fruit within. Ripe red fruits are comfortably set into the palate – this has some of the fleshy texture of the vintage. Sound length – there is a good, quite assembly of elements in this wine. It is quite traditional, and may have a few northern zone Syrah grapes in it. 2012-13 Dec 2007
