dark red; there is a real good plunge on the nose, which is reductive, shows sleek black cherry that is forward, stylish, is an open wall of black fruit. Easy and bonny drinking – this is juicy, tasty, flows well, is w.o.w. wine that rocks on. It is still juiced towards the finish, and ripe tannins give it extra kick, another spur. Blueberry on wheels. 15°. To 2019.  Dec 2012

full, quite dark robe. Has an assertive black fruits aroma – there is depth in its black jam, comes with a smoky top, and there is red meat here also. It is just a bit stiff now. This is a bold style of wine – its black fruits have a robust heart and a close-knit content. It shows late power, the aftertaste is tarry, sealed up and firm for now. It will be more expressive in autumn 2009. 15°. 2013-14. Feb 2009

traces of spice in a plum, mulberry aroma, with some game/animal tones circling around. Gourmand palate with lining from some ripe tannins. Has a sweet, prolonged appeal with a good little kick from the end tannin. Holds a rounded, soaked flavour but has definition and isn’t too sweet. Length good, with a herbal aftertaste that is quite big but round. 14.5°. To 2011 Eat: roasted meats or a vegetable tian Nov 2006
