Bottle 1: dark red robe. The bouquet is a muddle for now: there is a brewed fruits air, reduction, thick black fruit jam. The palate may carry a little cork. Bottle 2: dark red. The nose is clearer than the first bottle, has a stewed fruits, sweet red berry nature, shows a little reduction. The palate holds mild content, a gradual sweep of tannin along its path, with a salty, grainy close. It feels just bottled. 13°. 30,000 b. From 2017. 2021-22 Oct 2016

dark colour. Inky, deep-seated nose, airs of black cherry fruit of some abundance present; the nose has a good, oily tone. The palate offers more on the attack than the finish, is rather flashy. The finish is pretty round. Mainstream, early drinking here. 12.5°. 40,000 b. 2019-20  Jan 2015

quite dark; has a raw air, vegetal strokes, subdued fruit. The palate has a basic level of dark fruit, with a manufactured feel in its texture. This is spotty, and I wonder about its oak, or chips, perhaps. Basic Crozes. 13°. Nov 2013

(casks) dark robe. A wavy aroma of black fruit ripples across the glass, has a gentle scenting with droplets of meat. Has an appealing, perfumed palate, supple Roche de Glun style black fruit which lasts nicely, is all very orderly and consecutive. This has a tasty heart, will be a winner. This can be drunk soon. It has good, bendy features, gets marks for balance. Near w.o.w. wine. To 2019  Nov 2012

quite dark; smoky, tobacco airs, with licorice and black pepper – this is a self-contained, not especially welcoming nose for now. Tight, granular black fruit goes through the palate, needs 15 months to soften. There are menthol notes in the fruit, a hint of cedar, also vegetal. It is a bit strict. 2017-2018 May 2012

2009 ()

(casks) quite a full robe; the nose leads on black fruits, is rather wide, has a chunky, grounded manner, gives a sense of black olives. The palate features some oily fruit, with hints of oak and charcoal in it – it still bears evident marks of being raised, is not really defined. It moves on its power and late oak drive. It is not charming, is more a got-up wine. From mid-2012. To 2018 Nov 2010
