100% Roussanne (1988) on stony grey marl soils, crop cooled at 8-10°C, pressed, 3-4 days decantation, yeasts added, 90% steel vat, 10% 1-year 225-litre oak cask fermented 2 weeks at 14-16°C, oak part has lees stirred, raised 5 months, malo blocked, 5-6,000 b


light yellow. The nose shows reduction, has an air of brewed plum fruits, cooked lemons. The palate is buttoned up; it has a light heart of peach and plum fruit flavour. There is a little grip and length as it ends. Better with food than solo. Correct wine. Decant it. 14°. To 2015. April 2013


pale yellow; typical Roussanne fat air on the nose, with lime and lemon, a small mineral note. The palate is attractive, fragrant; it bears fine fruit such as lime and a shows a salty cut. Drinkable solo, precise, sympa, w.o.w. wine. To 2015. Dec 2012  Previously April 2012 ***(*) pretty pale colour; there is light air of pineapple in a clear aroma that comes with good cut and definition, is a touch salty which summons up thoughts of Roussanne (tasted blind). The palate picks up well from the bouquet, runs nice and truly. A clear and balanced wine that finishes well, with nuttiness on the end. Elegant and true, it has very good acidity, is a good buy at £9.90 in GB. 14°. 2016-17 April 2012
