handsome dark red robe, really full. Rampant reduction shows on the nose, a very “high” aroma, provoked by the Syrah. There is an air of stewed fruits within. The palate rolls with crisp spiced black fruit berry content, some black cherry present, and runs surely to the line, ending with fresh momentum. The tannins are fresh, mint-tinted, with licorice also. If you get round the reduction – so double decant it – there is a good quality wine here, with the fruit standard and the balance of the blend successful. 14°. 2,645 b. 50% Gren, 50% Syr. €4.80 export. 2020-21 June 2017

shiny dark red. This has a ripe fruit air with a lean towards “high”, a grilling, pork scratching element, a sense of black cherry, subdued licorice. The palate debut carries tasty, raspberry, red berry fruit, a tickle of sweetness through it, ending on sweet herbs. A neatly assembled wine that gives pleasure. It is ready now, all in roundness. Ideal for spaghetti, for instance. It has sun in the glass. 14.5°. 5,000 b. To 2017  Oct 2013

shiny dark red; supple air of wavy black fruit, obvious open spicing and licorice – this is a good, crisp and abundant start, a bouquet that some local touches such as tapenade, black olives. The palate sets off with a swish of black fruit that has implicit, orderly sweetness, and leads to a pocket of grain, tannin. All very consecutive, this will please, is a nice and drinkable, w.o.w. wine with bonny generosity and length. Drink early style. 14°. To 2016. €4.50 export  Oct 2012
