80% Grenache (1930s-1940s) from sandy soils on Saint-Martin & Saint Georges at Courthézon, 10% Syrah (early 1980s), 10% Mourvèdre (early 2010s), destemmed, 3 week vinification, pumping overs, can cap punch (not in 2019), part vat emptying/refilling, raised large barrel 8-12 months, unfined, unfiltered, “it can be drunk a little fresh in the summer”, 3,600 b

2017 ()

quite a full red colour; has a nicely sunny nose, raspberry, red fruits, mulberry, kind sweetness which makes it appealing. This is authentic, true wine with garrigue, herbs in it, gives lots of gourmandise and will be great with lamb. It gains depth, runs fully and freely. The tannins are a tiny bit fuzzy, but no problem on that front with food. 14°. 3,600 b. €9. 2025-26 Oct 2019
