(vat/casks) dark robe, black at its centre, legs visible. The bouquet is sunny, shows black olives and a firm layering of black fruits, a paste of dark berries. The palate holds black cherry fruits with a liqueur tone, witness the vintage ripeness and a simmering degree. The finish comes with the pure fruit still on the go, and a good, steady build in tannic essence. It’s has true length. This will present a spherical, rather stately shape as it ages. It’s a genuine southern wine: serve in a large glass, allow it to breathe. 14.5°. 2,800 b. 55% Gren, 35% Syr, 10% Mourv. €29. From 2020. 2033-36 Oct 2017

(vat) sober quite dark red robe. The bouquet has quiet style, isn’t expressive just now. There is a subdued black fruit jam, cassis aroma. The palate holds pretty stylish content, the fruit and some gummy tannins running with some pace towards the finish. Style over power here: it could be a bit deeper. The flavour centres on prune, a little black raisin. 14°. 55% Gren, 35% Syr, 5% Cins, 5% Mourv. €29. From 2018. 2024-26  Dec 2015  Previously Oct 2015 ***(*) (steel vat, assembled spring 2015, with one cask to add, bottling spring 2016) dark, full red with black tints. Has a gentle, round red berry, raspberry aroma with a dash of licorice, rosemary. The palate starts softly; this is textured wine, just a bit limited in depth. It runs easily, holds mild tannins. The flavour is led by raspberry coulis. This is easy to appreciate. 2,000 b. 2024-25  Oct 2015

dark red. Has an attractive nose, with airs of raspberry, prune, violet, with round, light sweetness – this bouquet is appealing, starts the wine well. The palate connects well to the nose; the attack is juicy, tasty, and it follows with a stealthy delivery of local more pine, lavender influences. This is stylish, has soft tannins and fresh length. This is charming, pretty true, well-balanced. It ups its density, and gives more local insistence towards the finish, a good sign. 14°. Bottled spring 2015. 2022-23  Oct 2015
