handsome dark robe; the bouquet is concentrated, centres on cassis fruit with a dry trails note hovering, dark spices also. It’s an authentic opening. The palate attacks on nicely rich content, develops well en route, spreading out well into the finish. It has a wholesome nature, with droplets of intensity on the aftertaste. 60% Gren, 25% Syr, 15% Mourv. From mid-2021, decant it. 2035-37 Feb 2020

(vat) full, dark robe. The nose centres on blueberry fruit with a suave style about it, a coulis ripeness that pleases, some notes of garrigue, pine. The palate is generous on the attack, rolls out freely, goes broadly and long. There are spiced moments towards the close, and a tasty blue-fruited heartbeat. It’s balanced and well integrated, better than most this year. It has a sturdy length. It will really show well and sing in a large glass. 60% Gren, 25% Syr, 15% Mourv. From spring 2019. 2032-33 Feb 2018

(casks) deep, dark red robe. Has a warm, rounded blackberry fruit aroma of some density, a sweet and inviting ripeness. The palate delivers an immediate burst of blueberry fruit, develops a fresh line of grippy fruit and some rocky tannin on the close. There are traces of vanilla from its oak. This is modern, good, with lift and some flair about it. As with the nose, there is an inviting spot of coulis style black fruit at its heart. The finish brings in licorice. Allow until 2019 to integrate its direct tannins. 14°. 5,000 b. 50% Gren, 25% Syr, 25% Mourv. €7.60 export. 2026-28 March 2017

dark, shiny robe, good ripeness. There is an immediate plunge of black cherry fruit on the bouquet -  a nose that is young, not out yet, but is definite, wholesome, promising. The fruit is abundant, liqueur in style, a potential free roller in time. The palate connects well to the nose; this has authority and pedigree, holds very good clear fruit that persists and scoops up fine grain tannin. All is in place to do well. Pockets of more grounded, dark notes develop on the finish. Good balance, all as one. From late 2014. 14°. €15. 2023-25 May 2013
