dark red robe, a good look about it. The bouquet reflects Grenache above all, is on stewed red berries, with a sweetness, a note of “luxury” in their style; there is cooler blueberry fruit behind, and a note of smoky bacon, meat stock. The palate picks up the theme of black fruit, cassis and blueberry, travels with continuity, and involves minted moments on the close. This evokes the garrigue lands rather well, the gorse growing around the vineyard. There is restrained juice on the finish. It has fat rather than freshness as its stamp. 15.5°. 7,200 b. 75% Gren, 25% Syr. From late 2019. 2030-31 Feb 2018
