bright red robe. Has a notably spicy, free running bouquet, black berry with mild raspberry. There is some darkness, mystery in it. The palate presents good, brisk, clear-cut red fruits with life and clarity, a bit of tar towards the finish: this is w.o.w. wine. It drinks well solo, prompted by its clarity, stand at the zinc and enjoy, or go with grills. €10. Bottled May 2017. To 2021 Nov 2017
steady red robe. The nose is on reduction, damp soil, blackberry jam, a nice volume of fruit, black olives. The attack is good, has a joli richness with a suave feel to the tannins, and a gourmand, decent length. It closes on an attractive mineral grain, florality. This is a true wine. Decant it. “It was more open six months ago,” J-M Gérin. 13.5°. 2022-23 Nov 2017
bright, quite dark red. Has a live but easily fruited berry aroma, a mix of blackberry and cassis. The palate strides out freely; the fruit is immediate and bonny. Drink this young and free. It can arrange its finish which is tight after its bottling 2 weeks ago. The tone is fresh, drinkable, skips along, is w.o.w. wine. On the button, can be drunk solo. 12.5°. To 2017. €10 at the cellars. Nov 2013
springy black fruit aroma that rocks along, gives a light fruit gum effect, also licorice. The palate mixes a direct fruit with a little richness. Has a good point of clarity at the end and some “darkness” and a peppery sprinkle from its tannin. Ideal for barbecues. “Two glasses when you're tired, more when you're not,” J-M G. €5 for export. 2013-14 March 2009
bouquet is reserved but has possibilities – shows some latent raspberry, a touch of jam and some violet. There is a sweet-toned attack – this is nicely and quietly gourmand. Some late charm, too, as it finishes cleanly and roundly. Very drinkable already, a month or two before its bottling. It isn't very full at the end, but works well, drinks well. To 2012. June 2007
beefy nose; sound fruit, gutsy wine
lightly earthy, smoked nose; funky fruit - blackcurrant, clean.
