2018 ()

fine yellow; has an apricot-peach, honeyed aroma, comes with lift, rather good style, appealing oiliness. The palate offers joli gras, pockets of mineral, mixed white fruits’ compote. It’s fat but has nice restraint, and is all together, is a good sphere. It drinks well now, shows elegance towards the finish, has fine juice, with a taste of apricot juice on the aftertaste. There’s a tiny bit of drift on the close, but overall it’s serene, appealing. 13.5°. Bottled end April 2019. 2022-23 Feb 2020

thorough yellow colour; the nose swirls on a mix of oak, tropical fruit, papaya with mandarin, apricot juice, too. The palate sets off well, better than many, since there is energy in its delivery, and it continues with refinement and clarity. The flavours are restrained, around white peach, a note of apricot. This has been well made in trying circumstances. It ends with salted tang, ready for a second glass, a rarity this year. Drink with fine fish, turbot, scallops, langoustine in sauce. 14°. 2022-23 Dec 2018

fine yellow robe. The nose mixes elder berry with cooked lemon, apricot. It has a sure depth. The palate is sleekly textured, gives squeezy gras with tang, almost as if there were Marsanne present in the blend. There is a note of late freshness, induced perhaps by carbonic gas. This doesn’t quite convince as a whole – it drinks OK, but is rather loose along the second half. 14°. 4,000 b. To 2019 Oct 2016

quite a full yellow colour. The bouquet is broad, comes with some style, presents an air of guava, peach jelly, a hint of banana. The palate is mingled with tropical fruits and a clear, nearly salted tang. There is some weight through the palate that will allow it go with chicken dishes, for example. 13°. 4,500 b.
