pale yellow, nice and clear. The bouquet carries discreet weight, shows a little grilling, a savoury nature. Pear and apricot feature at its centre. The palate is nicely lined with white fruits, pear, white plum, and a hover of white flowers. Its depth, not overdone, holds into the finish. It can be decanted to encourage more blossoming. It’s a little bit lightweight, can be drunk as an aperitif. 50% oak this year. 13°. €30. 2024-25 Nov 2019

2017 ()

shiny yellow robe; the nose serves apricot juice with banana flambé, melted butter and oaking, a medium depth to it. The palate bears cosy richness, has an enjoyable centre, the flavour based around pear, white peach. It’s genuine, extends safely into a rounded close, a little assertion, tannic tang and trace of power there. It will be good with chicken in sauce, mushroom dishes, Asiatic cuisine. 20% oak this year. 14.5°. 2022-23 Dec 2018
