2018 ()

(400-litre cask, bottling June 2020) dark red; has a neatly channelled aroma that leads on red berry, has sun density, lead pencil touches, holds thoroughly. This attacks firmly, iron prominent, with a length of compact content. It sustains well, into a crunched aftertaste (it’s 15-20% whole bunch). It’s clean winded Rôtie, carries potential. “There's body in the 2017, but this has even more body than the 2017”, Graeme Bott. 2017

shiny dark red; there is an elegant trail of blackberry and rose petal, licorice, some grilling on the nose. The palate gives cool dark fruit, tobacco notes, generates strength from within, is nicely unbridled, does its own thing, has character. A firm couch of tannin underpins it, while its juice criss crosses the late stages well, the length right there. 13°. 1,200 b. Bottled June 2019. 2034-36 Dec 2019
