2018 ()

(tank, bottling May 2019) dark red; a good stream of blackberry fruit, plums runs from the bouquet, which is uptempo, a live start. The palate bears racy fruit, energy, an up and down brightness. The tannins carry dark smokiness, come with foundation, chewiness. The length is sound, too. The tannins need a little time. This is engaging wine. From spring 2020. 2027-29 Feb 2019

2017 ()

(steel vat, bottling in two weeks) bright dark red. The nose is on reduction, but promising, the aroma thick, soaked black cherries; there’s plenty here. The palate presents an interesting run of black fruits that are perfumed latterly, and have good mineral-iron late on. It’s a bit unusual vis-à-vis the year and its intensity, but has promise, character. It ends with a bonny floral touch, is very digestible, gives good drinking. “It has belle tension, fruit, has volume, more than the 2016,” J-M Stéphan. 12°. To 2021 March 2018

2015 ()

(tank) the last crop harvested this year: really very dark robe, especially for a Vin de Table. The nose is nicely fruited, goes wide and also has attractive depth, black berries a-plenty. This is surges well on the palate – you’d never say this was from four year old vines. It is juicy and wholesome, a real Pleasure Wine. It runs with live, puckish fruit, is very tasty and supple, a w.o.w., Rock on Tommy wine. 14°. “It has a lot of body for a Vin de Table,” Jean-Michel Stéphan. 2021-22  Dec 2015

plum red robe. Has a live, open nose that gives a bundle of raspberry and flowers, has a thick nature, shows some reduction.  The palate offers red berry fruit, is nice and up-tempo, spicing in with its strawberry fruit. It grips tightly in a tarry finish. This goes nice and long for a Vin de France. The tannins are crisp, have bite. 11.5°. Bottled April 2015. To 2019  Dec 2015
