2018 ()

(casks) full red robe; the nose gives cooked plum fruit, crushed strawberry, is rather husky in nature. The palate assembles cherry stone flavours, with slightly rustic tannins, has a country wine feel. There is enough depth for it to evolve, but it needs further raising to help to refine it. Given the benefit of the doubt. From 2022-23. Decant it. 2037-39 Nov 2019

2017 ()

(casks) full, dark red; the nose has an air of crushed blackberry, mulberry, suggests a dab of rose petal florality. The palate is soft and mild, holds raspberry fruit with a soft nature, the tannins ripe and inside. It could be fresher. This drinks within a compact brief, in a sweet, rounded manner. There is oak on the finish, so leave until mid-2020. 13.5°. 100% Syrah. 2032-34 Dec 2018
