2018

(casks) dark red colour; the bouquet gives a decisive air of ripe, almost “high” Morello cherry fruit, has good clarity. The palate links well, continues the theme of polished fruit with an engaging depth and length, the tannins adding a spur of length to it. The aftertaste is fresh, good. It’s a genuine Côte-Rôtie. Decant it. From 2022. 2039-41 Nov 2019

2017 ()

(casks) dark, shiny, inviting robe. The nose is upright, alert, smoky, holds cool and clear black fruit, oaking in behind. The palate carries luxury, sleek dark red, mulberry style fruit which travels along with good flow, goes long, in detail. The finish produces blueberry and is well together, hints of oak, ripe tannins there. It’s a little bit flashy. 13.8°. 100% Syrah. From 2022. 2040-42 Dec 2018
