attractive yellow robe; the bouquet is grilled, oaked, brings in pineapple, banana, tropical fruits. The palate carries dense matter, with a rich, concentrated centre, slight notes of firmness, near tannin, on the sides. It’s butty, rather punchy Condrieu, destined for paella, couscous dishes. It will live and evolve via its close packing, thorough nature. It will be more interesting, more enjoyable [and ****, I guess] around 2022: hang on to it if you can. 14.5°. 3,200 b. €40. From mid-2020, decant it. 2028-30 Nov 2019
