2015

bottled 8 Sept 2016, five weeks ago: profound robe with black tints. The bouquet has a beef stock intensity, prune and dense blackberry, inner good oiliness. It is substantial, even after such recent bottling. The palate springs out well, runs with ample but well fluid content, delivers a big mouthful of juicy blackberry, and a touch of sweetness towards the finish. It is broad, fresh, very good for its grade. It could close and tighten a little over a cold winter. Great with a rib of beef. 13.5°. €9.80 at the cellars. 2025-26 Oct 2016

2014

plum red robe; has a frisky, live red-fruited nose – raspberry with a hum of rose petal below. It is very clear. The palate is aromatic, clear; the content has some “steel”, develops good tangy clarity, red cherries, raspberry. It has definite nerve, is very drinkable, its floral aspect beau. There is just a bit of gras richness. It is w.o.w. wine. The finish is coolly red fruited, very clear-cut. 13°. “It has fruit, drinks all on its own,” Nicolas Champagneux. €9.50 at the cellars.
