bright yellow robe. The nose is attractive, comes on pear fruit with a hint of apricot, white strawberry, some compote or lightly stewed fruits’ airs. The palate expresses clear Viognier pear fruit and runs cleanly to the finish, aniseed cut there. There is some citrus-mandarin in the flavour. This is another example of the good Grignan terroir for white. There is neat richness, a fine ball, at its centre. Very good value, no doubt, especially given its refinement. It’s w.o.w. wine, good for aperitif or light starters. 13°. 50,000 b. €4.50 at the cellars. To 2019 Aug 2017

pale robe. Has a a very clear, aperitif style bouquet that mixes pear and spring flowers. The palate has a good, clean start, drinks with an enjoyable pear-peach flavour, has a little grip and dark tang on the close. It is indeed a bonny aperitif. 14°. To 2018 July 2016
