pink robe, more light than most Tavels. The bouquet has a grilled air which fronts it, with an aroma of crushed red fruits, berries such as strawberry, behind. The palate holds straightforward red fruited content such as red cherry, with slightly clipped sides, a mineral-tinny angle to it. It ends clearly enough. It’s a little stretched, and could perhaps have benefited from a day or two of extra ripening, since there is a lack of body. 13.5°. 2022 July 2020

clear red robe; the nose is expressive, open, on a cluster of red berry fruits, has a vinous foundation, local depth. The palate springs out well, on a tide of red cherry and strawberry, swishes along with agreeable freshness, lasts into a neatly sweet finish. It’s well made, genuine Tavel, STGT in manner. It’s full of live length. 60% Gren, 30% Syrah, 10% Carignan. 13.5°. To 2021 May 2019

pink robe with light red tints. The bouquet is soft, comes with gentle red fruits, strawberry, has a little salted freshness. The palate is also soft n’easy, holds supple content, has a rounded demeanour. The juice is fine, the finish trim. This is pleasant Tavel without the standing of the leading 2016s. There is a low-key sweetness, a quiet close here. Floral notes, soft wine it is. 13.5°. 10,000 b. To 2019 May 2017

sound pink robe. Has an open style of bouquet, a round, warm red fruit jam aroma leads it. It isn’t much varied as yet. The palate centres on lush red fruit, with a sweet note after the mid-point. It evokes strawberry jam on the finish. Honest, if a bit rustic. It could be fresher. It is suited to white meats, but not pure flavours such as steamed fish. There is a little glow on the aftertaste. 13.5°. To 2017 Jun 2015
