fair red robe, a lighter top. The nose gives a mulled red berry fruit aroma, nearly jam, has a sweet curve. The palate is immediate, a little plain, but drinks easily on raspberry, red fruits, with light spicing. It skims along, and has been prepared for early drinking, the tannins supple inside it. It lacks the nuance of the true, leading Gigondas 2015s. 14°. 80,000 b. €218. Bottled July 2016. 2023-24 March 2017


(vat) medium purple-garnet hue. White tobacco and herbs on the nose with a background of red fruit and spice. Definite spice on the palate, which is soft and a touch fluid. The tannins are slightly green on the finish. 13.5°. From 2016. 2022-23 JL Dec 2014


shiny, quite dark robe. Brewed, beefy air, a solid block of aroma – the bouquet has not yet lined up its various different influences. A sense of high octane influences are just kept under wraps. Alcohol, sugar and fruit are separate here. The palate has a bustling, grounded nature; there is meaty content here. There is fine in its tannins, and kirsch, spiced plum in the flavour. It ends on a roasted, hot stones trail, is running as it ends. Good promise. From mid-2014. 14°. 2024-25  Dec 2012
