(casks) full red robe; reduction lurks on the nose, so there is a “high” note in it, damp soil, an animal presence. Within, there resides an aroma of prune, sweet cooked plums, behind the reduction. The palate bears spiced Grenache content, a trail of grippy matter, up and down tannins present. It needs both time and air to improve its standing, to assemble. At base, it’s a hearty Cairanne suited to winter dishes. 15°. From 2021. Decant it. 2034-36 Mar 2019


(vat/casks) dark red robe. The bouquet is reserved, sits on cooked red fruits and a smattering of herbes de Provence. The palate is lightly juiced but anonymous, lacks nuance, offers a plain run of red stone fruit.
