shiny, full red robe, is inviting. The nose bears latent reduction, so the black fruit has a “high” aspect, suggests plenty of Syrah. It has an easy inner sweetness, comes with a touch of tar, coffee. The palate is spicy on the attack, right away, holds agreeably fluid content with a suave tannic presence until a tip of the tongue tarriness on the close. The fruit streams along well for the most part until the late darkness, and it’s very easy to drink overall – good with grilled meats. 14.5°. 2024-25 Apr 2019


sound red robe. Wet stones, mineral-inflected outer nose, with a tuck in of cool red berry fruit, has a loose quality. The palate gives a breezy line of red fruits mixed with herbes de Provence, garrigue pockets, has grainy moments and some local charge on the finish. This drinks freely, without adornment, has a naked, grain-filled quality. Good with grills, sausages. It may infuse some of its tannin over the next six months.
