2016 ()

(casks, bottling March 2019) full-up, very dark robe. The bouquet is broad, breathes inner strength, has a top air of hide and baking over the black fruit, black raisin. The palate commences on cassis, blackberry, swiftly takes on pushy tannins, and dries towards the finish, the fruit and juice dropping back there. I feel this has been rather over extracted, which has hurt the natural balance of the wine. 14.5°. 10,000 b. From 2020. 2028-29 Oct 2017
