steady yellow robe; notably honeyed, also oaked aroma across the glass, a little cooked banana and pineapple – the bouquet is wide and a bit flashy. Pretty fruit start to the palate – this has a nice rich tone, an ample nature with the finale more oaked and direct. Likeable richness – could have a shade more acidity. Brown sugar, crème brûlée aftertaste, no doubt inspired by some of the moelleux wine. 2010-11 Nov 2008

complete yellow, all around the glass. Interesting bouquet – reserved, sinewed air to this – shows mild pear that is elegant. The palate is tight-knit, veers towards the structure of a red wine, runs with muscle and intent. Good length, nice and complete. Good, firm finish – this is a thorough Condrieu, one with a dried fruits aftertaste. Great with some of the classic fish companions – turbot, lobster, pike quenelles (quenelles de brochet). To 2013. full yellow, apricot and gold touches. Attractive, broad bouquet, with interesting variety in its aromas – beeswax, banana flambé, vanilla pod. The palate has a damp wool (classic old Viognier), stewed pear debut and sits with a comfortable, maturing richness. Is still right in the game with that richness present. Lime marmalade, vanilla notes late on. Fun to pair foods with a wine like this – Asian cuisine, cream cheeses, Brie de Meaux. Can live on. 13.5°. 2013-15 Nov 2008 Previously Dec 2004 * light aroma, a little pear, is tight, fairly stylish. Some richness early, but misses a beat or two through the palate. Rather burnt end, bit short. Not near the quality of the bottle nine months ago. Dec 2004 Previously March 2004 *** steely, refined pear aroma, beckons the drinker rather than being showy. Stylish pear, spiced/mineral elements. Good restraint. Pretty, quite supple aftertaste. Good pear/apple length. March 2004

apricot touches, refined and pretty bouquet. Stylish, very good roundness on palate, warm wine. Clean and tidy, delicious. Persists well, dried fruits on finish.
