2007 ()

bright, pretty dark red; bustling fruit in the nose – blackberry with a nice interior, a minor sweetness and easy appeal, smoky airs, too. Red fruits dash out of the starting gate, and its texture is fleshy, juicy until a few late tannins come along. Accessible now. It is a bit taut along the palate from its extraction. 13°. To 2012. This is more taut, but has clearer fruit than the 2006. Nov 2008

2006 ()

dark red; plump, rather sweet aroma – there enters some game, smoke, bacon in a mid-depth affair. This is a drink now wine – it is all about early, easy fruit with a little suppleness about it. It ends quite roundly, is a bonny, here and now wine with more on the front than the late palate. 12.5°. To mid-2010. Nov 2008
