2014

(casks, bottling Feb 2016) dark robe, deep. Has a serene aroma of blackberry, a curvy appeal – the bouquet is juvenile, not yet varied, gives an inkling of licorice. The palate holds polished fruit, has a tasty sweetness, and the tannins are deft, quietly present. A good, true 2014, nothing overdone. Stylish, w.o.w. wine. 14°. 80% Gren, 20% Syr. 7,500 b. €17. From mid-2017. 2023-25  October 2015

2011

(bottling Feb 2013) steady red; the bouquet has raspberry with a flinty dash in it, a baked under air, a sense of latent power. The palate has a crisp, near wiry character: red fruit threads its way through some smoky, a little brittle tannins. There is a fresh tang in the aftertaste where the liqueur of red fruits emerges. This needs to assemble its parts. 14.5°. From 2015. €16. 2025-26  Dec 2012

1995

solid colour; the nose is opening a little, carries an aroma of black jam, garrigue herbs. The attack is on the sweet side, the flavour one of stewed black fruits; this is a Southern brew, a fat, unctuous wine that shows power on the finish, the tannins a mite rough, some dry notes on the aftertaste. It’s hewn, not polished, is OK. From 2000. 2018-20 Oct 1998
