yellow robe, has a fat aspect. The aroma is led by dried apricot, pineapple, has vanilla running across it – the nose suggests a fat wine is to follow. The flavour kicks off on greengage jam, with a near exotic fruit topping. Its jam, warm depth revives on the finish, a marmalade, rich style there. Good with curries, Asiatic dishes. It is not profoundly flavoured, but does a decent job. There is plenty of immediate body – drink now. The style is more assertive than the classic white Côtes du Rhône, probably with a decision to crop quite late at its heart. 14°. 2015-16 Oct 2012
