2016 ()

(casks/vat) dark red, a purple top. The nose is smoothly fruited via plum and mulberry, has an easy curve of appeal. The palate runs with suave matter, the cherry fruit juicy and open, the finish quiet and round. This is a safe style of wine which could deliver more character. There is gummy aftertaste. 15°. 90% vat raised. From mid-2019. 2028-29 Oct 2017

2015 ()

(casks/vat) dark red. The nose bears sweet black fruit, a simmered style, a floral note, just a little coolness. It’s juvenile. The palate holds juicy, easily textured content, picks up pepper towards the finish. This isn’t grandiose, is pleasing and pretty open wine. Its softness is appealing. It finishes serenely, en rondeur, if a touch tame. 14.5°. From 2018. 2027-28 Sept 2016

2012 ()

(casks/vat) healthy, full red. The nose is beau, a good mix of serene, nicely deep red berry fruit, southern content in it and some herbs, flint. The palate is live, with springy fruit along its length. Pepper-grain, white pepper involved in its finish. It is going the right way, has freshness and lucid fruit, with the spark of 2012 in its veins. It persists well, and the texture on the finish has gras in it. Local touches, too. From late 2015. 65% Gren, 25% Syr, 10% Mourv this year. 15°. 2025-28  Nov 2013

2011 ()

(casks/vat) dark red; Refined, reticent blackberry and cherry fruit aroma, has a toasted, baked undertone. There are earthy, truffly notes in its black fruit, has a gourmand juice as it travels – that emerges well. The finish is gummy, round, pretty complete. A broad, quite ethnic wine whose tannins could be more polished. From 2015. 15°. 2027-29  Dec 2012
