60-80% Grenache, 20-40% Syrah from galet stone covered garrigue soils at Sérignan du Comtat, destemmed, 8-10 day vinification, vat raised 8-12 months, fined, filtered, wide bottle, "drink with summer, Mediterranean dishes"
(vat) very dark robe; the bouquet has a plump aroma of sweet plum fruit with a herbal sideshow, a hint of licorice. The palate bears abundant juice, is a rolling affair, carries vintage sweetness and ripeness, generosity. It’s underpinned by good, ripe tannins that extend it successfully. This is a structured Côtes that will evolve well, is not just about youthful drinking. The red fruit lasts well - the Grenache signs it off adroitly. 60% Gren, 40% Syr this year. 2025-26 Nov 2020
nice dark red robe. This has a smoky, crunchy black fruited, licorice aroma, the fruit quality good and pure, resembles black cherry, mulberry. The palate delivers a fresh and attractive black fruit with good lift and charge, the finale tasty. Absolutely what a good Côtes should be: flavour, w.o.w.¸fun. It is bright as a button. It is **** thanks to its extreme ease of drinking. To 2019 Oct 2015
