medium purple hue. The bouquet is rather closed and ungiving at present, presents a hint of dark berry and red berry fruit. The palate has a briary nature coupled with a robust tannic frame. It is just a little too tough and tannic, but could resolve itself. 14°. From 2017. 2025-26 JL Oct 2014

good looking, rather dark red; the nose has an easy roundness, is centred on mulled, coated red fruits, raspberry, for instance, with spice hints. This gives an open invitation. There is a tasty delivery of red cherry fruit that runs with purpose, has a comfortable development of tannin that fits in. The length is sound. This will cruise the highway well. There is a little front of the mouth acidity. A supple wine with persistent fruit. 14.5°. 3,600 b. €17, sound VALUE. 2023-24  Nov 2013

bottled already: fair red robe. The nose shows reduction, but the fruit aroma beyond is pure, reflects a bonny air of red berries from the garden made into a compote. There are notes of dust and licorice beyond – overall, a sunny, facile start. The palate gives pretty stylish red fruit, with chiselled tannins towards the finish – these enter swiftly, and take over. It has scope, can develop. The finish is clear, backed by chewy tannins. From 2015. €16.50.  2026-27  Dec 2012

shiny, quite full red. The nose has a direct shape, shows brewed cocoa, black raisin, but is not too pitchy or dark. There is a note of vanilla also. The palate has its fruit already on parade – it is compact and sealed now. It delivers some nutty tannins in with the fruit, and the length is correct. Decant this for its first 2 to 3 years. Bottled Sept 2011. €17 at the cellars. 2020-22  Dec 2011
