100% Clairette from galet stone covered soils on Les Galimardes (S-E), destemmed, 50% new 228-litre oak cask, 50% 600-litre oak cask fermented at 18°C (the 2015 all new 228-litre oak casks), raised 7-8 months, malo completed, first wine 2015, 650-900 b


(casks) shiny, full yellow. The nose is richly fruited, deep, comes with smoky oaking, shows stem ginger, peach fruit. The attack shows off the classic richness and oiliness of the Clairette, with a band of firm gras towards the finish, its breadth noted. This has good heart, and will do very well with sauced dishes, white meats. It’s a proper ground force white Châteauneuf. 14°. From spring 2019. 2029-31 Oct 2017


yellow robe, bright. Elder flower cordial, peach jam, cooked nuts airs circulate on the nose, which has a low profile southern ripeness, sunshine present. The palate commences on oak-vanilla, with a flavour led apricot, a compote style in the fruits. It goes long on its squeezy gras content, is suited to la table, sauced dishes, for instance. The finish has authority, is well filled, munchy. Decant this. Genuine, ground swell Châteauneuf blanc. 14°. 900 b. Bottled May 2016. 2026-28 Sept 2016
