Grenache noir, blanc & gris, Mourvèdre, Syrah, Clairette blanche & rose, Cinsault, Vaccarèse, Counoise, Picardan, Picpoul blanc & gris, Terret noir, Bourboulenc, Roussanne, all 13 varieties from a showcase 0.4 hectare vineyard on Fortiasse near the village (all 2006), topped up with Boisrenard harvest to complete a 12 hl large barrel, destemmed, 3-4 week vinification, pumping overs, raised 12 hl barrel 24 months, unfined, unfiltered, made in 2012 (4,000 b), 2015 (1,600 b), 1,600-4,000 b

fine red robe; aromatic, red berry fruits, strawberry, iodine, rose petal, cooked damson combine on the nose. The palate accentuates purity, thanks to a clear stream of red fruit, pitter patter detail, a note of local power on the end. This needs to fuse, with its glow on the outside for now. It’s a mix of vinous elements for now. There is class on the nose, and the link to the attack is good, but there’s a chewy note to the tannins. 2012 was 4,000 b, this year it’s 1,600 b. 14.5°.
