2018

(vat, bottling March 2020) dark robe; elder berry, blackberry twin on the elegant nose, a back note of black cherry – it shows well presented, clear fruit, is a good start, can vary over time. The palate is stylish, willing, its flavour most enjoyable, black cherry and blackberry, with a fine saltiness in the tannins. It has good balance, and a natural elegance that will please, reflects the finesse of these lands. There are notes of black olives late on, a trim richness on the aftertaste. It’s very joli, symphonic vin. 15°. 13,000 b. 80% Gren, 15% Syr, 5% Mourv. €24.40: MUST BUY, V. From 2022-23. 2043-45 Oct 2019

2016

(vat) shiny deep red with black tints. The nose is based on sweet blackberry fruit, with a side of latent power, dry soils. It’s not quite clear as a bell. The palate gives fleshy matter with a rolling black fruit juicing, has tannins that are prominent, assertive, largely ripe. This stands up well in the glass, has heart and core. Black olives feature on the aftertaste. 15°. 80% Gren, 15% Syr, 5% Mourv. From 2021. 2033-36 Oct 2017

2015 ()

(concrete vat) dark red. The nose is nicely copious, bears mulberry and raspberry fruit in good unison, has a suave depth, shows life as well. The palate carries a commendable line of freshness all the way through, so there is good cut in the raspberry fruit, and the tannins have a savoury, lip smacking nature, with some rocky breeze. The content is stylish, and this will come together well, has proper structure, is long. 14.3°.  From mid-2019. 2033-34 Sept 2016
