2016 ()

quite a dark red robe. There is a note of pine in the stewed red berry fruit on the nose, menthol, smoked bacon also. It has scale. The palate is spiced, demanding for now, with rugged tannins and a criss-cross of mixed berry fruits, always on the move. There’s a line of acidity slightly on the outside. It needs refining pre-bottling. The finish washes up with some further spicing and a dry tenor. 80% Gren, 20% Mourv. From mid-2020, decanting needed. 2030-32 Feb 2018
