2016 ()

full yellow; has a quiet, restrained bouquet, a light air of peach, with greengage plum, vanilla. This drinks on ease of texture, has a cosy roundness, some late grip, hazelnut-ginger notes on the aftertaste. It’s a coherent, rather fine Châteauneuf-du-Pape white. It will be good with Dover sole, steamed fish, soft cheese. There is fine late freshness. It’s attractive, if a little light. 13.5°. To 2021. Nov 2017


clear, fine yellow robe. The air gives a sense of roasted, singed nuts, with some grapiness within. It’s not properly defined as yet. The palate has a slightly baked bread, yeasty aspect, and a centre of mild gras, peach and honey inside it. It doesn’t lift off along the palate, and I’m not sure it will ever be bright. bright, fine yellow colour. The nose is lively, forward, marked by pear, aniseed, a little salt and petrol. The palate has balance and harmony, delivers a compact nugget of fruit such as greengage, ends on more citrus inspired moments. A stylish, always bright wine for finely flavoured dishes, steamed fish, precise flavours. Good with steamed scallops. 13.5°. 1,900 b. €19 is VALUE. 2022-23  Oct 2015
