2018 ()

dark red robe; the bouquet lines up prune, ripe fruit, black berries, a hint of damp present. The palate is oily, stoked with cooked red stone fruits, spreads widely en route, is pretty active and the on go, even with its inner strength. The tannins are ripe, rounded, inside it. It ends on notes of chocolate, blue fruit, has a munchy aftertaste. Its slight scale means it will indeed be good with stews, as recommended. “Lirac was helped in 2018 by suffering less from mildew than Châteauneuf,” Serge Gradassi. 5,000 b as a careful start for the volume bottled.
