full yellow robe; peach liqueur, exotic fruits, grilled pork airs mingle on a lusty bouquet. The palate has immediate character, bears rich, layered matter, has a tasty, smoky heart and keeps going with a very sure hand. This is still smoked out on its raising, but the core is excellent. It will be a winner with fine, creative veal dishes, poultry dishes, also turbot, halibut. The finish has a cigarette ash cut in it, which works well. 14°. 1,200 b. 34% Clair bl, 33% Gren bl, 33% Rouss. Bottled Sept 2018. €98. 2033-35 Oct 2018

yellow robe. Greengage, white plum with aniseed shows in a clam bouquet, a few floral hints. It’s a good ensemble. The palate gives dried fruits, a forward carbonic gas influenced attack; there’s a good fat in mid-palate, and it extends with great assurance, good and tangy, with firm grip on the finish. This is a good, fresh and genuine Châteauneuf blanc for la table. There’s a nutty, savoury burst before the finish. 2026-28 Feb 2018

yellow, fine robe. Lime and greengage feature in a cool bouquet, which is a bit will o’ the wisp, escapist. There are floral notions. The palate holds compressed white fruit content which is rather dumb in expression. The finish brings in aniseed, some tangy grip. It’s correct, quite polished, has enough body for starters, fish dishes. The style is New Wave. 14°. 1,200 b. 34% Clair, 33% Rouss, 33% Gren bl. Bottled May 2016. 2021-22 Sept 2016

bright yellow, inviting robe. The nose has a gentle but assured quality - primrose flowers, soft pear fruit, a note of aniseed and licorice. The palate has a buttery attack, and gains cut via some cooked citrus fruit, as it closes. This has a belle harmony. It drinks well, but there is more to come, a more vibrant and open expression over another couple of winters. Has a good, saline sign-off. Poised, accomplished Châteauneuf blanc. 14°. 2022-23  Oct 2015
