fine yellow robe; the nose has a floral, floating nature, shows beeswax, light airs of roasted nuts, mild aniseed. The palate attacks with a fresh verve, is also very much on restraint as it goes, bears a trim richness, flavours of peach and white fruits, ends with fine acidity, roundly. It’s New Wave in style, a skimmer, can be drunk as the aperitif. It’s perfectly nice, but not memorable. 14°. 2,000 b. 70% Gren bl, 30% Bourb. €28. 2025-26 Oct 2019

2017

the robe has a pear, creamy tint. The bouquet is rounded, curvy, expresses tropical fruits, ripe pineapple, banana, papaya.  The palate picks up that theme, offering smooth, rolling fat content, delivered with a tasty appeal. The aftertaste is well rounded, too. A good package, suited to sauced dishes, fish [sea bass, cod] cooked in herbes de Provence. It’s very much in the here and now. 13.5°. 2,000 b. 70% Gren bl, 30% Bourb. Bottled May 2018. €28. 2024-25 Oct 2018

pale yellow, flint stone colour. There is a mix of sweet fruit and citrus on the nose, low-key plum and apricot, fennel. There are pear drop-candy notes. It’s a clear nose. The palate sets off on an easy run of white fruits, greengage, white plum, with a recurrence of low-level sweetness, fleshy content, a lip-smack effect, before the finish. It ends roundly, is rather gourmand without being too flashy. It drinks with late freshness, a note of white flowers and orange zest on the aftertaste. It makes for a good aperitif, plus la table for steamed fish, chicken, dumplings. 13.5°. To 2021 Aug 2017

bright yellow. Passion fruit, orange-bergamot airs give the nose good lift and life; a note of white plum lurks behind them. The palate bears tucked-in, neat content, is a stylish Châteauneuf blanc, with fine juice on display towards the finish. This is very good and well balanced, a real elegant winner that maintains its gras through to the finish. It really covers the ground well. 14°. 2,000 b. 70% Gren bl, 30% Bourb. Bottled Apr 2016. 2024-26  Sept 2016

fair yellow robe. Peach-grapefruit, expressive nose, a good combination of freshness and southern medium-weight; citrus is the main impact. The palate starts stylishly, with a good run and roll of white fruit, lasting better than many this year. Has a flavour of apricot with a vanilla-tobacco clinch on the finish, a good grip. 14.5°. Bottled July 2012, €18. 2019-20  Dec 2012  Previously Feb 2012 **(*) (bottling in 6 weeks, April 2012) fine, clear yellow. Has a spice-salt mix on the front aroma, with ripe white fruit under that – it is in a very raw state, shows a drift of honey. Lime, pear, greengage plum combination on the palate; it extends with wiry verve, has a discreet tow of gras richness before ending with a little firm note. Sound wine, just a shade short. Aperitif drinking possible. 13.5°. 2017-18 Feb 2012

2010

bright, pale flint robe; interesting variety on the nose – vanilla, fresh white plum, wee cooked banana airs, and wax and petrol. There is a petrol Riesling debut on the palate, with a close-knit second stage. Its texture is finely suave, and has potential. It ends firmly, is a quite complete, sure wine. Decant this. From 2013. 13.5°. 2020-21 Feb 2012

pale yellow with a little evolution in it; has a mild honey, modulated nose the aroma is even across it. There are nice airs of lime and citrus (“at bottling it showed a peach aroma,” J Masquin. The palate is closed, dumb; it contains apricot, dried fruits, and offers light flan and almond touches late on. It is starting to open. There is fine acidity present in this interesting, genuine wine which has lots of food options. 14.5°. To 2019 Feb 2012
