2019 ()

shiny, fine yellow robe; the bouquet is comely, offers a citrus-grapefruit freshness, a hint of flowers, spicing, vanilla from oak, has a foundation of cooked pear, a discreet Southern depth that works well. The palate is stylish from the off, gives a very tasty bounty of mixed white fruits, peach stone tang towards the finish, notes of oak toasting there. It is finely threaded with carbonic gas, and, given the late tang and increase in intensity, is best suited to white meats, Comté cheese, for example, la table. 14°. 2026-27 Nov 2020


steady yellow robe; the nose is Southern in its fat, open offer, is led by candy, bonbon sweets, with a little citrus precision. The palate bears comfortable gras, with an immediate display of dried fruits, pear and white plum in the flavour. There’s a note of tannin on the finish. It hasn’t quite hit its stride yet, and the finish is a little sudden. Decant it. It will also will show more in six months. 14.5°. 918 b. 70% Gren bl, 28% Rouss, 1% Bourb, 1% Clairette bl. €27. bright yellow robe. Lime marmalade, peach aroma with a note of candy, varnish on the nose. It’s broad, weighted. The palate links well, is well fuelled with bonny richness that flows well, takes on some clarity, citrus cut as it closes. The length is good and steady. Has a little garrigue connection in the late palate that I like. The close is quite chunky, will scare the white coats. 14.5°. 1,470 b. 70% Gren bl, 28% Rouss, 1% Bourb, 1% Clair. 2016 ()

bright yellow robe. Has a soft aroma that gives peach-nectarine fruit, has a grapey angle, trim lemon and light pear also. The palate expresses rounded richness with southern depth. It lengthens well, with some interesting grainy, grapey aspects. It’s open and supple now, with a horizon of four to five years. It ends on liquid honey, mild grip, has quiet inner strength. This will be good with pork, dauphinoise potatoes. 14°. 2021-22 Oct 2017


yellow robe. The nose is soft, rounded, gives a plump air of peach and nectarine fruit, with hints of cooked lime freshness. The palate is engaging, immediately enjoyable, carries good 2015 fleshy content, with an uptick in grip via dried fruits and a touch of tannin towards the finish. It has a good oiliness, inspired by Grenache blanc and its fullness, and the aniseed-fennel close supports that. It has some glow on the aftertaste, is very much a table wine, is a southern wine with character. 14°. 70% Gren bl, 28% Rouss, 1% Bourb, 1% Clair. 1,900 b. €25.50. 2014 ()

handsome yellow robe. The nose suggests a low temperature fermentation in giving bonbon, candy airs that come with a lime and brioche baked bread tenor. There is definite weight in the bouquet. The palate is sprinkled with pear, white strawberry flavours, and a subsequent dash of aniseed that brings a ping of focus. There is an agreeable gras at its heart. This will evolve well, and gain character. There is a little southern glow and a note of tannin on the aftertaste. The drawback is its sense of having been pushed along in the cellar. 2013 ()

pale yellow colour. Aromatic peach and stone fruit nose. The palate is rich and sweetly fruited, and also zesty on the finish. Peach and pear flavours follow through. Drinking well now. 14°. 2020-21  JL Oct 2014
