2016 ()

(steel vat, bottling March 2018) shiny dark red colour. The bouquet gives an expressive, salted aroma of black berry fruits, some prune alongside. The palate is crunched together, dries swiftly, has a sweet raspberry-jam and prune flavour. I sense a good core matter here, but the fringes let it down. 15.5°. 3,300 b. €55. From 2020. 2028-29 Oct 2017

2015

(steel vat, bottling March 2017) bright, attractive dark red robe. The nose is weighted with soaked black berry and black cherry fruits, leavened by a drift of musky rose-hip and toffee. The palate is well-juiced, sprinkled with spice, pepper and salting along its path. The black fruits are elegant, and the tannin has a neat depth. This is coated but drinkable, has a fresh purpose about it. The aftertaste is overtly peppery, and it keeps going. 15.5°. From mid-2019. 2031-33 Sept 2016
