2016 ()

(casks) regular red robe. The nose is discreetly weighty, rests on blackberry with herbs, some inner sweetness. The palate holds sound Grenache-led content, with gras from the old vines at its heart, and fringes of spice, cool, near vegetal cut. The momentum of the attack carries pretty well past the mid-point of the wine. There is a little gumminess from the oak as it finishes. It’s a true wine of the sand, down to the slight hum of power under the surface. The aftertaste resembles kirsch, cherries. 14.5°. From 2020. 2030-32 Nov 2017
