2016

(casks) dark red robe. The bouquet has a measured aroma of black fruits, a soft second note of raspberry, some licorice, has an appealing curve to it. The palate attacks on clear, rolling cherry fruit with a supple gras lining it. There are dried herbs notes on the finish, which has knuckle, tightness. This is understated, is a genuine, rather rugged vin that will deliver over time, a rather smoky, dark glass. 14.5°. From 2021. 2030-32 Nov 2017

2015

(used casks) full and dense dark red robe. The nose is a wide canvas, streaked with pine influences, has a rich furnace of fruit within, a bountiful black berry presence. It’s dark and very tarry. The palate is also on a large scale, handles the duo of rich and fluid content with the pine-basil influence pretty well. The fruit has a commendable coolness. This is big Châteauneuf that requires leaving until 2020 certainly to allow fusion. It’s a big glass with Mourvèdre in the game, prominently (tasted blind). It shows good sap, oiliness, encouraged by the white grape presence, I would say. It has lots of character, is a Great Wild Ride, boom, boom!. 14°. 50% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, 7% Syrah, 5% Vaccarèse. 4% Cins, 2% Bourb, 2% Clair, 2% Coun, 2% Gren bl, 2% Muscardin, 2% Picardan, 1% Rouss, 1% Terret Noir. 2032-35 Sept 2016
