2018 ()

(casks) dark robe; soaked fruits, spice, prune airs, blackberry, a note of cool blueberry. The palate offers an elegant attack, with black stone fruits rolling through it. It ends on a little oaking, has a little freedom on the close. It’s still in the cellar, is a constructed type of wine. Leave until 2023-24. Harvested 15-20 October, 2018. 1,500 b. 50% Gren, 50% Mourv. 2040-42 Oct 2019

2017

dark red; the nose is on prune, black stone fruit, spicing, is very Mediterranean, copious, sultry. The palate bears suave content, its texture oily, holds firm tannins that cluster around a compact finish, a hint of plum there. There are notes of strength on the bouquet, while the palate is grounded. The oak on the aftertaste is demanding. It’s rather hard work. Bottled march 2019. From 2023. 2040-42 Oct 2019

2016 ()

(vat/casks) firm red robe. Has a savoury, black-fruited aroma, prunes and dates in the picture, some leather and damp soil also. The palate is sturdy, lined with copious, fleshy content which contains dark, slightly dry tannins in tow. The tannins give some concern as they stand, with their baked form. This is in a raw, primary state, and needs leaving until 2021-22. 15°. 60% Gren, 40% Mourv. 2033-36 Oct 2017

2015 ()

(casks/vat, bottling March 2017) shiny, full dark red. The bouquet is wide, gives a modern, streamlined take, has polished airs of black cherry with a semblance of oaking. An aroma of roast beef takes it deeper. The palate springs out with fluid, wavy dark berry fruit, has a touch of florality that adds to its appeal. It’s juicy and stylish all through, goes nicely long in that respect – that is the secret of its attraction. 15°. 1,600 b. 60% Mourv, 40% Gren. €28. From mid-2019. 2031-33 Sept 2016
