2017 ()

(large barrel/vat) deep robe; the nose has a full charge, a prolonged depth of cassis, blueberry fruit, nice waves of delivery. The palate also bears charming, fluid back cherry and black olives  content, with some darkness in the bendy tannins, a tar note from them. The length is steady, polished, the aftertaste fresh and enjoyable. The balance is good. From 2021. 2040-42 Oct 2018

2016

(vat, bottling Jan 2018) dark red. The noose gives an immediate aroma of blackberry lozenges and prunes, has a surround of sweet herbes de Provence, some dusty earth. The palate holds gras that is quietly concentrated, gives a thorough layering of red-fruited flavour and a close-knit jam-like texture. There are thick tannins on show as it finishes. This is a weighty wine based on succulence. 15.5°. From 2021. 2039-42 Oct 2017
