100% Clairette rose (has been 50% Grenache blanc, 50% Roussanne both 1979-80) from sandy, galet stone soils on Pignan (N-E) & Guigasse (N-E), 50% steel vat, 50% oak cask fermented at up to 17.5°C, raised 5-6 months, malo blocked, 600-940 b


the yellow robe is quite firm. This has a steady, close-knit bouquet based on ripe white fruits including peach. It’s attractive, with more variety to come, hints of oak and nuttiness. The palate works well on supple, well-founded texture, a good, ripe base to it. It’s broad across the mid to late palate, has a serene depth, is suited to white meats, turbot, sea bass. This has style and offers tasty white fruits. The aftertaste is rounded, with perky touches of peach fruit. Decant it. 2026-27 May 2018

2014 ()

pretty full yellow, rich looking robe. The nose give peach and cool airs that please, a nectarine, gentle outlook. The palate is stylish, fresh, offers a steady run of white fruits, a little smoky seasoning alongside. This is a good ensemble, shows well now. It has quiet length. It might gain complexity over the next two to three years. 14°. 100% Clairette rose. €30. 940 b. Bottled March 2015. 2021-22  Oct 2015 


yellow colour, mild green. Cooked peach, fruit tart aroma, beeswax present: the bouquet stands up well, is inviting – a good start. The palate is broad and ripe, has plenty of ripe, baked fruit, and as such will be best with Vieille France cuisine – sauced dishes such as chicken in morilles and cream sauce. It ends on a nougat moment. Rich and successful with those foods, its power and above all glycerol will keep it going, a child of the south. Good now, then expect a pause, then a more later.
