dark red; the nose has an aroma of cassis bud, an attractive simplicity, notes of raspberry also present. The palate is soft and sequences well, bears red berry content with a little spark in the tannins. It’s a genuine Châteauneuf with pockets of garrigue in it, local colour, herbs. The finish has a slightly cool tone, which helps. 13,333 b. €26. From 2022-23. 2041-43 Oct 2019

(vat/casks, bottling Dec 2017) very dark, intense robe. The bouquet is broad, full, has a dark chocolate depth, with stewed plums, prune, black raisin airs within, an underlying sweet concentration. The palate is thick with its closely-packed con tent, and black raisin, spiced moments on the second half. It is deep and thorough, with the tannins firm and also deep. It’s a sustained, large wine that doesn’t get out of hand, but needs plenty of time. There are barely any chinks its fabric at present; it’s on a large scale. From 2021. 13,300 b. 2036-39 Oct 2017

dark red colour. The nose combines soaked fruits with a damp vegetation aroma, fruit such as prune in the mix. The palate has a coated texture, runs smoothly, with neat tannins in the wheel as it turns. The length is decent. This is correct, without quite inspiring, is a safe bet. 15°.  30,000 b. Bottled early – Aug 2016. 30,000 b. Cask raised. From mid-2018. 2027-29 Sept 2016
