sound red robe. Broad nose that is well filled up for a Vin de Pays; there is a minor note of reduction, but at its heart lies an air of cosy, full red plum fruit, rays of sun in the glass. The palate has a winning, broad start – this rolls well, has nice bite and smokiness, a full red cherry flavour. It sustains well along the palate, is a very good Vin de Pays, above its station. Its fruit and flavour wash up high on the shoreline. The palate is clean, the aftertaste chewy. Good now. 14°. 2016-17  GREAT VALUE: £9.75 in GB, The Flying Corkscrew. Sept 2013
