medium depth, Grenache-led red robe. The nose is soft, a little skimpy, offers blackberry, with a note of sweetness and licorice. It doesn’t have the bold panorama of the leading Plan de Dieus. The palate is also mild, overtly spiced, with a grainy texture from the tannins. A pocket of red fruit, plums, lies at its centre. It’s lightweight given the splendid vintage. The tannins stand outside, and it is spare as it ends. Try from 2018. 14°. To 2020 Aug 2017

medium depth red, “OK” robe. Has a metallic top air, some red berry, raspberry within. The metallic note starts again on the palate, has that feel in it. It pinches the fruit at the end. Unconvincing. €3.90 ex cellars. 13.5°. Oct 2013
