bright red robe. Has an upfront, soaked red fruits, raspberry and cherries aroma with a two tone licorice-sweet herbs, rosemary accompaniment. This is a shade reduced, but gives a burst of mulled red cherry fruit, followed by a pause, followed by gritty tannins. The finish is dusty, on the arid side. It hasn’t yet gelled. The power on the finish comes through. This is a wild ride. It’s not easy drinking, far from it. Day 3: attractive fruit, a good sequence along the palate. 14.5°. From 2017. 2020-21 July 2016
